Does anyone know if an 80's suburban tank would fit on TIm's 72?

It all depends upon how many alterations you want to do.
Click here for a thread of interest. It's a 72 burb but since they originally used the same tanks as blazers and a blazer tank makes a no mod fit into a truck, you should be able to extrapolate the ideas presented for your project.

You'll just have to do some measuring. I used an 86 Blazer tank and it just fits on my 77 Chassis. Its the big tank too. (33 gallon)

You also need to concider the sending units. At least if you want to know how much gas is in them. The 67-72s have a 0 to 90ohm sending units, and I am not shure what the later models have. This problem can be overcame with the correct resister in the sending unit wire. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com
