I'm not quite following what you are saying but here is how I leaned the posts back on my 48 when I chopped it.
This is an ancient photo but shows the profile after I chopped it 4 inches and leaned the posts back rather than stretching the top. ![]()

No photos but pancakeing (sectioning) the hood might help to, reduces the bulkliness of the front clip.

sorry for my poor english.... :-)
Do you call them posts ??? But this is exactly what i meant... I would prefer to lean the posts forward and to strech the top.. The best look i would prefer is the design of the chey 55 or ford pu.. as you can see on the pic...the posts are leaned forward, also i would try to install the windshield of the 55īs... |

i have to add something..
The best example is the Ford pickup... As u can see on the pics the years after 55 do have the posts leaned forward ....so in my opinion it looks alot better and more aggressiv |
