Cool mechanical/electric gauge grounding

i replaced a sending unit in the gas tank on my 73gmc. the sender was properly grounded. with the key on the fuel gauge still went to 3'oclock. the pcb grnd wire grnds 3 gauges. the mech. temp/mech. fuel and the electric oil gauge. with a meter tester all 3 grnds on the gauges were good. power was good to all 3 gauges. is there any way these 3 gauges can be grnded individually. next step is to test the gauges from the battery. thanks for any help.

Re: mechanical/electric gauge grounding

if your fuel gauge is going to 3 o'clock key off or on, then there's a break in the fuel sender wire to the gauge. check the pink wire from switching valve to the gauge plug. just fixed mine not long ago, because my harness is wrapped & in conduit, i found the quickest way was to cut sender wire at s. valve & firewall connector & spliced in a new wire. after gauge worked, pulled old sender wire out of harness & found sender wire had been cut by a clamp
