The combined brake and turn signal wiring has the output of the brake light switch (white wire) feeding into the turn signal switch. To separate them, you'll have to do the following:

(1) Disconnect or cut the white wire from the brake light switch. The switch is located under the dash on the brake pedal hanger and there should be an orange +12V feed wire sharing the same plug as that white wire.
(2) Insulate the end of that disconnected/cut white wire so it doesn't short out on anything.
(3) Hook a new wire to the terminal on the brake light switch where the white one used to go.
(4) Run that new wire back along the frame to your brake lights.
(5) The existing yellow and dark green wires will still function for your turn signals.
