Slightly loose hub

So my problem is as stated in the title. I noticed today that one bolt is missing on my drivers side locking hub. This is giving it a little bit of play. I haven't dealt with fixing manual locking hubs in the past so I could use a few pointers as to what to do. Could putting a bolt in the missing spot fix it?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Slightly loose hub

Are you talking about the Allen head bolts that hold the hub cover on? If so,maybe try tightening the rest up.They might have just worked themselves loose. While you at it,jack up that wheel and check for excess play in your bearings too, this doesn't sound like the problem but it dont hurt to check it.

Yeah I was talking about the Allen head bolts. I tried to tighten them and I couldn't. I will jack up the wheel and check if it is loose too.

Re: Slightly loose hub

lock the hub in, and take all the bolts out to remove it and see what's going on. nothing will come flying out at you.

check the threads in the bolt holes, and see what's going on.

Ya,I am with 1969K10. If your bolts are tight, better pull that cap off and see what's going on inside.Good luck
