Wedge spacer for brake booster

Does anyone know what the purpose is for the wedge shaped spacer that goes between the firewall and the brake booster for a 1966 with power brakes. And where could I get one?

Re: Wedge spacer for brake booster

The wedge offsets the Brake Booster to allow clearance to the Air Cleaner. Their made of aluminum so care should be taken when removing.

Re: Wedge spacer for brake booster

Thanks Aerotruk. Any idea where I could get one of these spacers? My 66 truck has a 327 but does not have the original air cleaner, so there does not seem to be any space issues for adding a brake booster, but I am trying to make my truck original. That said, I am also looking for a correct air cleaner.
