Converting Truck or Suburban door to a Blazer or Jimmy
I saw a post where a guy converted a truck door over to a blazer, but would that alse be possible with the suburban door ? The main reason for asking is the suburban door is cheaper on LMC, and if im already going to cut it up, I might as well start with the cheaper one.

Re: Converting Truck or Suburban door to a Blazer or Jimmy
Thanks, Suburban doors are $140 than blazer cheaper on LMC, so trying to decide if that is the route to go. At least one of my re-inforcement plates would require some repair, but that would be a $280 savings on just the doors alone.

Re: Converting Truck or Suburban door to a Blazer or Jimmy
Wish I could find some nice clean doors for that. Mine could probably be repaired, but it would be quite a bit of work.
Nice build. Im also swapping in some newer axles under mine, but they are 3/4 ton. I bought an entire 89 suburban to use for the swap, and will probably run the TBI for now, but do plan to go with a 6.0 and 4l80e in the future. |
