Re: 292 power steering pixs
Hey man I need to thank you to, im installing a 1969 250 in my 79 chevy and I was wondering how I was going to mount up my p/s pump because the brackets are different with one engine having a nonintegral head and the other having an integral head. Greatly appreciated bud

Re: 292 power steering pixs
heres a guy who makes brackets for the 292s that would work for your project .
http://myworld.ebay.com/davispeedequ...p2047675.l2559 I was looking into this as a option if I didn't find stock brackets in my on and off search over the last few months while working on other stuff |

Re: 292 power steering pixs
Remember that the 292 is slightly taller which means the brackets and such don't interchange with the 250 and down crowd. We needed a bracket for the pump on our 194 and after striking out on finding it and again on modifying the original pump to fit the bracket we could find, we just ditched it for manual steering.

Re: 292 power steering pixs
Your right about the 292 being taller . Going back and looking at the guys stuff on Ebay I see he's also got a brackets for the 194 to 250s also, I didn't notice before.
That should help alot more of us here looking for the 6 cly goodies Quote:
