1966 GMC 305 V6 Motor Mount

Driver's side mount completely separated.
Mounts not easy to source.
I have a 67 Mustang 200 I6 mount and it looks like a good match. I'll need to weld a 1/4" bar stock on it to obtain proper height and bolt spacing.
The ford mount only has one lower stud.
I won't have to drill GMC bracket because it has 3 holes.

Wonder what others use for mount?

Yeah, you pretty much won't find a source for those V6 mounts. The only option for keeping it original is to send your mount to somewhere like Steele Rubber and have them re-vulcanize it for you.

But good call on that F*rd mount. Looks close enough for government work. Let us know how it turns out.

Didn't mean to drop the F bomb

I plan to install one mount before drilling holes in welded on 1/4" flat bar.
Drop in engine. Bolt up finished mount.
Mark holes in other mount. Drill holes.
Hopefully that will assure mounts are under normal stress.

Does it actually fit unmodified?
4" bolt pattern, similar height and correct stud orientation?

Rufton; Got that info from the 6066 GMC site. May be worth the time to take your old one down to NAPA and compare for that price.

from GM 2391949

62Longbed, that number is correct but I don't think they are available. These are a lucky ebay purchase.

As Corts60 stated earlier, you'd have to send the old ones out to Steel Rubber to be rebuilt.

Thanks. I crossed those to Anchor 2337 because Napa kinda far.
They fit perfect.
Be aware the threads are metric.

Rufton, Thanks for posting the follow-up verification, Part number crossover and photos as well. That mounts looks pretty solid!
The original GMC mounts I posted are a very hard rubber, those must be as well. The price is nice.
Your V-6 looks great and you have the Spin-on filter as well.
