Re: Creative Power Plants
Mine is just the orig 283 but I always thought a dual quad 409 4 speed would be cool...
I am also a Pontiac fan... when I was young I knew a bunch of people with them. My sister had a nice 69 Lemans, best friend had a 69 gto that we converted from auto to 4 speed in my driveway and one of my current friends has a very nice 69 firebird that actually used to belong to the same friend that used to own my truck. |

Re: Creative Power Plants
There are way more Pontiac powered 60-66 trucks here on the forum than I had imagined.
I think that is pretty cool..

Re: Creative Power Plants
Some pics of my project 64 stepside.
Coming home in the dead of winter with the Cadillac 500 from a 74 Eldorado. Trying to get the weird-ass front wheel drive Eldo tranny off the motor. Taking the original 230 6-banger out of the truck. What a great running motor. And finally, pics of the rebuilt and speed goody equipped torque monster 500 resting comfortably in the C10. Ready to go just in time for TorqueFest 2013. vintagetorquefest.com |
