I bought some Monroe shocks, No Napa, No Monroe

I picked up some Monroe shocks for the front of my 87. When I took them out of the Monroe box I noticed that I could see a slight black edge on the sticker. So I peeled it off. Underneath was a NAPA Gas-Magnum sticker but there was still another blue edge. I peeled off the Black NAPA sticker and found another Monroe sticker. Im sure someone makes them for all the companies but I thought it was funny. I wonder if the Napa shock is cheaper?

Was this a line change within the store/warehouse or DC? This happens all the time. Competitor products are re-boxed/re-labelled with new suppliers numbers.

Have done it countless times in my former life as a district manager for a large parts manufacturer.

It is expensive to scrap in field, so they opt to run out the old and re order with the new...

Just my observation, I could be wrong.
