Pulled a trailer with my '65 C-30

Finally made a run in it! Drug home a '64 C-10 on my car trailer. I figure the C-10 weighed about 4,000 or so, trailer should be 2,000 or so, and the C-30 full of tools, tires, and two people has to be 6,000 or better. So call it 12,000lbs gross.

Did really well, I thought. Pulled it like it wasn't there, rock solid. Did alright on hills in fourth, had plenty of zip in the lower gears to get it moving, and starting off in second gear from a dead stop wasn't a problem at all, even with the tired ol' 283. Brakes worked good, and they haven't even bedded in yet. (35 miles total as of now)

I'm loving it! Really crazy to think this truck was about to be scrapped before I bought it. I don't even have $1000 into the whole truck (including the $600 initial purchase) and I'm already hauling stuff with it.

Took a couple pictures, I will have to get some video the next haul I make.

Sounds like it was a good run.

Yeah, it was the first real drive and everything went great. Bumper welds were still hot when I left out.
