Re: Steering wheel options? Retro look?

I filed the cracks with a hack saw blade, filled with JB weld, sanded, primed, sanded and scuffed with red scotch brite. Wiped it down with wax and grease remover and hit it with some spray bomb in a can. Its a metallic pearl color that matches the wheels nice. I let it tack up and then fogged on some clear, let it sit and 3 heavy coats. looks pretty good for an amature. I was told the wheel was a 57 belair, but its actually a 55 belair. My 55 wagon was a 210, so I didn't know the difference at the swap meet when I bought a couple weeks ago.
Here is the boring stocker:

I came back after the clear dried, assembled it and snapped a couple phone pics. i like the " Kustom " look it has. Not bad for a retro old wheel brought to life.

Re: Steering wheel options? Retro look?

I think it looks great.

Of course, your original wheel was/is in VERY nice condition.

That Rusto metalflake looks a LOT better than I would have thought. Has me wondering where I can use some?!
