blazer lift with rear coils??

Theres a guy in my town that has a 72 4x4 running on 36" tires and is pretty tricked out..

The rear has trialing arm's with coils springs ( maybe bronco springs?? )..

And I seen the truck at the store and never was never able to talk to him about it.

Has anyone else done this or seen it before, and how??

I'd be willing to bet it was 2wd originally, hence the arms/coils set up. Or of course it could be radical custom like alot of the rockcrawlers use. Hmmmm.....
