1970 chevy 2wd to 1970 chevy 3/4 4wd
Well if you guys have seen my other posts I was going to make my pickup a slammed 2wd but I told myself that if I could find a complete 4wd pickup I would go that direction well I found me a 1971-72 3/4 ton pickup complete minus the motor. My grandpas cousin had six 70s model chevy and I was able to buy one off of him for $200 what a steal! My plan is to swap the bodies on my 2wd and this 4wd and hope to have this done in a couple of months hope you guys like it. The green and white will be going on my 2wd frame and restored back to original condition like it came off the factory floor but that will be far into the future.

Thanks I got the time but I will be doing it from paycheck to paycheck but should still be pretty quick once i get the body pulled off I going to clean the frame and paint it. Then put all new brakes, bearings, and seals in it.

Well got a little side track I broke my bezel on my pickup so I grab the spare out of the green and white pickup and started messing around and this is what I came up with, the textured effect is a 3M product that I got a hold. Then just used rubbing compound to remove all the chrome. Also how do I tell what size brake shoes i have on the back with out removing the drum???

Re: 1970 chevy 2wd to 1970 chevy 3/4 4wd
Well its been a while since i last posted but here's the latest update. Got all the frame strip down ready to sandblast, bought a few parts like brake pads, brake shoes, calipers. Decided to tear into the rear end and looks like the brakes are just a little old but all the gear look good just needs new oil. And question of the day is if i can get my hands on a 400 small block would it be worth the trouble and time? I could also do a 383 stroker but what would be best for a k20 that i would use to tow things from time to time and fuel mileage? Also does anybody know how to decode these numbers they are under the passenger side?
