Air Ride Technologies kits a few ??'s
How high from the ground does the truck's rockers sit when the bags are fully deflated on a 67-72 chevy truck with the A.R.T. kit, and no other mods to the suspension. Also how high does the front crossmember sit? and what size wheels do you have? I'm planning on running an A.R.T kit with 1/2 lines, Big Red valves, 20's up front, and 22's out back. I'm contemplating wether I should do a front crossmember drop, c-notch the rear, and possibly raise the bed floor.

I'm not sure about the ART kits but in my opinion 1/2" line would be overkill. I have 3/8" line/valves and with 140psi in the tanks, I can raise the truck to ride height in about a second. Actually, the rear raises too fast and is hard to get it set to the correct pressure. If you want to make it hop, then that’s a whole different story.

my sub with ART kit and 20's
Here is a pic of my 72 sub with ART kit. I have a set of drop spindles inthe front and a c-notch only in the rear. Rims and tires are 20x8.5 with 255/35 - 20. Not sure how close the rockers are to pavement, but itt gives a viual.

valves
I'm not positive but I think the big red valves are 3/8 inch. I just want 1/2 line, because you generally want the vavl;es to be the most restricted piece in the system. I'm not quite sure why, but thats what the guys around here told me.

True...... I stand corrected. I was thinking pipe (I.D.), not air line (O.D.) I work with HVAC engineers
But either way, the flow rate would depend on the size of the smallest orifice in the system. But I doubt there'd be a noticeable difference between the 3/8" and 1/2" line. Quote:
