How do you tell if a truck frame is straight?

Tomorrow I will be going to look at a new bare frame for my 87 k10, and am wondering how you tell if the frame is straight or not. The reason I'm asking this is because I remember reading somewhere where a guy was putting the body on a new frame and the body didn't line up. Would appreciate it if someone could give me some advice.

Why would you think your frame is NOT straight?

Did the truck have signs of any accidents?

Measuring corner to corner will tell you how square it is.

If you can get your hands on a shop manual there some key points with dimensions to measure.

If I remember correctly it all can be done with a simple measuring tape.
