4L80e NSS and brake switch questions?

Trying to wrap up my under dash wiring:

I have installed the NO/NC brake switch. On a 4L80e is this needed for lock up or just cruise? I'm not running cruise yet but I can't find a clear answer about lockup for a 4L80. Diagrams would be appreciated.

For the NSS: anybody have a good diagram showing how to wire this up as well? I believe this is needed to set the idle speed with a 4L80e. I'm using the factory wire to the starter so in gear starts aren't a concern. Just the idle.

Yes, you need that switch for torque concerter lock up to work. I don't have the diagrams with me right now, but can put some up tomorrow if someone else doesn't beat me to it. What year are you working with?

On the NSS, if you're not using it for a neutral safety switch, then all you need are the wires that go from it straight to the PCM, you don't need to do anything to them, You will have one that needs to be grounded, but it will already be in the harness. Again, I can post a diagram just need to know what year and model you have.

2001 DBC 6.0L/4L80e. Would like to add cruise at some point but for now just the basics to get it going.

cruise can be added later pretty eaily on the dbw cars. I'm looking into it as well, its as simple as a couple switches.

Re: 4L80e NSS and brake switch questions?

Here are the schematics for a 2001 6.0. I'm just going to post the whole thing in case anybody else might want them. It's 5 pages long. The wires from the NSS that need to be hooked up are on page 2, in the upper left corner, but if you follow them, you will see they all go to the PCM, with the exception of the ground.

Also in the upper left of page 3 is the brake switch. A and B are the white and orange wires that your truck already has, and they go to the two terminals closest to the plunger part of the switch, C and D are for the TCC and/or cruise control, and go on the two terminals at the rear of the switch.

Here's the cruise control schematic, it also shows C and D on the brake switch.
