Anyone recognize this color?

I am not sure it is a factory color, but it looks like it might be. I was dealt a blow earlier this week by my painter when I went to tell him my Blazer would be ready in 1 week. He told me the material cost would be VERY expensive, prompting me to go back to the drawing board and look for an alternative. I found the guy that owns the truck I have attached, but he said he bought it when it was already painted and did not know the code. Any help is appreciated! Thanks, Greg

Re: Anyone recognize this color?

It doesn't look like a 73-87 color but maybe someone knows better. Jonboy might recognize it.

Re: Anyone recognize this color?

Thanks for your help on this. I also posted the same message on the 67-72 site and it seems to be a 72 factory medium bronze, also known as copper code 522. I know it is a different vintage of truck, but I really like the combination. I made the mistake of not asking any questions about material cost until I was a week away for taking it in. Again, thanks for checking it out.

Re: Anyone recognize this color?

Are you going to use it on the Blazer? Two tone, or solid, or ?

Re: Anyone recognize this color?

That does look like the medium bronze. What colors were you originally going to use?

Re: Anyone recognize this color?

The colors on the Blazer in my avatar are off of a 2012 Ram and 2012 Escalade for the gold metallic. The red is $1125/gallon, so I have decided to take a second look at my options in terms of what I like. I will get some pricing on the new colors today and see what comes of it.

Thanks to everyone for your help! This type of assistance and knowledge is exactly why I joined this site in the first place. I really appreciate everyone going to the trouble to help.

It could be "Ketchme Kopper" from House of Kolor: http://www.houseofkolor.com/speedsha...es_shimrin.jsp

Re: Anyone recognize this color?

Are you looking to go red or more orange? You might look into the later Corvette orange (2006 & up). There is an alternate that throws a lot of red, and would look pretty good with the gold mist.

Re: Anyone recognize this color?

I actually saw that Corvette color you mention. It is crazy vibrant. I am all tied in a knot now. It took me months to figure out my original plan, now I have 10 days to find a new look I like just as well. How about this one? I just found this color combo and actually sent the owner a note (he's on this site too). As far as I am concerned, if I can find out what color it is, I am done looking! All of the pics below are the same truck at different angles.
