Re: Carburetor help!!!

That's what I'm wondering if I need it or not? If I remove it would I have to cover it or plug it?

Re: Carburetor help!!!

Do you have to pass an emission test? If not, remove the EGR. You will need a cover plate. Also, if you are planning on using a OEM air cleaner, you may need a banjo gas line adapter.

Re: Carburetor help!!!

Also where can I find this cover plate? I've looked on the website of AutoZone but can't find it anywhere unless I'm not looking right?

Re: Carburetor help!!!

It probably wont be on their website, but they should have one at the store. I think they are called EGR block off plates.

If it ain't broke, there is still probably room for improvement.

Re: Carburetor help!!!

if you got some tin snips, a thin piece of sheet metal and a marker, you got all you need. take the egr off and trace the shape on the sheet metal. cut it out and drill holes for the bolts. might have to stack washers if the bolt holes in the manifold don't go all the way through. this would be a temporary fix until you could get tools or a friend with tools to make a more permanent solution.
