Re: 76 Crew Cab 4x4 diesel build
I didn't get to take the dodge apart yet due to the weather. Instead I worked on the front suspension on the chevy. I removed the front clip, motor , and transmission that was in it and I removed all the front suspension hangers. I began sandblasting the right frame rail and was making pretty good progress and then got rained out. Hence the blue tarp. This weekend I want to finish sand blasting and get all the holes welded shut. Then to lay out all my new holes for the suspension and drill them. Dad wants it back on wheels by Sunday evening, but we'll see.

Re: 76 Crew Cab 4x4 diesel build
Been trying to work as dilligently as I can on this. I got all the holes welded shut, ground and the frame rails painted from the cab forward. Got all the holes drilled and the front spring mounts bolted on, and the holes for the left shackle hanger drilled and it bolted on. Wednesday night I'll head down and do the right shackle and put the axle back under it. Next weekend if I get my car put back together this week, I'll start on the engine mounts.

Re: 76 Crew Cab 4x4 diesel build
I'll try not too. I have an idea for motor mounts combining your idea, but still making them bolt in. Going to see if I can get some pieces made at work.

Re: 76 Crew Cab 4x4 diesel build
Got the front axle put back under the truck last night. No matter how much I measured mad templates and so on, the sides still aren't even. The front spring mounts front to back and top to bottom are perfect, but the rears are a different story. They are a 1/4 inch off from one another and I'm not sure which one is correct if either. On the plus side, I'm going to bring my 78 home this weekend and use it to cross measure everything from and try to get them set right. Also ordered new diy4x shackles tonight along with a hydroboost/clutch pedal assembly. So still chipping away.
