It runs!
Small victory my 5.3 swap ran for the first time tonight. I got it all together and it would not run for the life of me. After searching the forum and bugging the crap out of my tuner I finally realized it was the fuel injectors needing cleaned. Soaked the injectors over night in seaform put it back together and last night she fired first try and ran like a top. Just have a few minor details to button up on it and hopefully then will start driving the wheels off of it.
I'm running a 2003 5.3L DBW engine, 4l60E Trans, 98-02 Camaro Radiator and Cooling fans, 98-02 camaro fuel tank and pump and factory manifolds for now. |

member ackattack did a good write up about the tank and pump in his build it does require trimming the lower frame rail but other than that it's just drilling some holes and making some straps for it to hang off of. |

Re: It runs!
Did you use the vacuum brake booster hose on the motor? Or plug it? Trying to find out what to use to plug mine, as I'm running HB.
Congrats on getting it going! |

Re: It runs!
I could be wrong here but gm has a vacuum plug that goes in there on the back of the manifold for i guess hydro boost setups because my 6.0 i guess had hydroboost and had a plug in it and has a hydroboost pump but im using vacuum brakes so i ordered gm's vacuum piece and swapped it in
