Local assistance 07748
I am in need of some local(or not too, too far)help in adapting my 67-72 wiper delay unit to 60-66's. Help within the thread is welcome but I need to physically adapt this thing as well as electrically. PM me, please. I have given away two of these units and sold a bunch, I'd be happy to give away another for some local help. Thanks!

Re: Local assistance 07748
I completely vouch for Bill! He's a good guy, and is very sharp on this mod. I really wanted to be the "guinea pig" on this, but I am not far along enough on my build to be any real help to Bill at this time.
Give Bill a hand if you can. You won't be disappointed, and you'll be the first kid on your block with intermittent wipers in a '60-'66!!.

Re: Local assistance 07748
I installed the whole unit from a 72. Bolted right in and used the 72 switch and wiring. Hooked up one wire to a hot. Works great and love the new features.

Re: Local assistance 07748
If I am understanding correctly, you already have a delay wiper unit for the '67-'72's? And you are wanting to modify/adapt it to the '60-'66's?
I'm too far away to be of much assistance, but I'll be watching. I would be willing to help, but we won't be getting much precipitation here for a few months. I'm also interested in one of the delay units for my '68. Edit: One thing I would like to add is, I don't think the '60-'66 wipers are all wired the same. I believe the '60-'62's should be the same, and the '64-'65's the same. I'm not sure where the '63 falls in there, but I do know that most '63's had single speed wipers, and the 2 speed was an option. Also it seems to me that there is something different about the wiper wiring on the '66's.

Re: Local assistance 07748
UPDATE:
As a result of Captainfab's(John's)tireless efforts(R&D)in adapting the 67-72 wiper delay to 60-66 model years, he has earned a free(to keep)delay module with all the wiring he needs to do "dynamic" testing on his test subjects. The better news is that I am now one step closer to rolling out a working module for the 60-66 model years. I will keep you posted on this(dare I say)"priceless" upgrade. |

Re: Local assistance 07748
Thank You Bill
Once I receive the module, I will do my best to test it on every possible variation within the '60-'66 years, that I can think of.
