Need a couple of questions answered please
Bought this 51 that was tore apart already and need some help. Without buying the high dollar gauges, can you modify the stock ones to work with 12V? Mine need new faces, and I'll use manual oil press, water temp, and volt, but I'll need speedo and fuel. Can you modify something else to fit and look right? Also, what do they use for cab and bed bushings? Can you buy a complete kit with bolts?

Re: Need a couple of questions answered please
i think the stock gauges can be easily switched to 12v, im sure some other viewers will either confirm or deny this. the only reason i think so is that mine has the original gauges and is a 12v system and all the gauges work properly

Re: Need a couple of questions answered please
I know the bulbs would have to be replaced, I don't know if the gas gauge would work with a later model sending unit. I'm going to run a rear mounted tank of some sort, haven't decided on that yet.
