The 1680 lb V-12.....

Would it be more efficient to use 2 GMC 305's or 2 Chevy 292's?

A straight 12! That would be cool.

Maybe some of you are already aware of this but in case not - check this out:

http://ls1tech.com/forums/conversion...ls1-build.html

Take 2 LSX blocks, cut the last two cylinders off opposing ends, weld together. Sounds simple....

Re: The 1680 lb V-12.....

I ran across a GMC 702 V12 years ago, it used to power a lift at a small ski site in the NW.

Re: The 1680 lb V-12.....

Not sure how a pair of 292s will make a V12...
The GMC V12 if I remember correctly looked like two V6s connected, but wasn't.
They were also used to run irrigation pumps.
There's a thread with one put in a 60-66 truck.

Maybe put 2 292's in a frame and use a pete jacobson type gears to run a huge flywheel.....
