80 blazer w/ rectangular headlights need parts.

If you have a 1980 blazer with rectangular headlights and are parting it out let me know. I have someone looking for some type of brackets and he says they were only on that vehicle????

Here is what he wrote me:
There are a few brackets for the front grill that only fits a 1980 that I need.
The brackets bolt to the core support and fender. There is one on each side. They provide the mounting for the metal piece that runs from fender to fender below the grill. It has to be off of a 1980 with rectangle headlights.

If you know of another vehicle that also has them, please let me know. I am going nuts looking for this guy.

Tommy, it is a very distinctive, and also very rare front grill. It was only made one year.

If you take a look at the pictures of my truck on my website, you'll see what the front end looks like, and it will help you ident any 1980 trucks that you find... While you are at it, if you happen to see one of those 1980s, and it has the same style of door panel as my truck, I would love to purchase the door trimming off it, if it is in good condition... Mine is badly damaged, and all the studs off the back are broken. I would be wanting both the driver and passenger side, and be needing all the metallic peices

Are those brackets also found on the 80 suburban and trucks w/ rect lights, or just on the blazer?

They'll be found on 1980 GMC and Chevy light trucks (fullsize 1500 or 2500), Chevy Blazers and GMC Jimmies. I'm not sure about the suburban, I've never seen an 80 burban before...

Actually, come to think of it, I saw a Chevy 1500 Sub in a local trader, and it had the front clip as well, so I can only assume that at least the 1500 has the brackets...

If I find an 80 something around here, I'll get the headlight stuff for him.

Hey Tommy, you still needing this part? a 1980 Chev K5 showed up at the junkyard, everything but the driver's side signal light cover is good on it...
