Re: fuel filler

You can use exhaust tubing to reduce or splice rubber filler hoses together, essentially as a reducer. You can also just run the vent to a breather or pcv style check ball.

Re: fuel filler

I use a vented cap, so it makes itself the high point in the system more or less. The vent on my old tank was just an AN bung in the top to a piece of fuel hose and a keychain sized PCV filter, the ones that look like mini K&N's. As long as the fuel vapor has a place to go, your fine, just try not to vent it straight into a hot exhaust crossover or something.

This is a picture of a modified setup that a guy with a desert-runner truck made. Its a fuel cell with reducers to the factory Ford filler neck and cap, and he's running a breather as well as the factory charcoal cannistor.

Re: fuel filler

I put one of the ride tech ones on my nova it fit great and is a quality piece. I held off for a while because of the price. I think you can get a less expensive version at a boat supply place the have used them for years is kinda new to cars and trucks.

Re: fuel filler

I use Marine filler necks all the time, Just fill it slow, They are 1 1/2".....1 3/4" hose will clamp down.

Mount the vent/breather as high above the tank as possible. Behind a rear tail light maybe??

Re: fuel filler

The easiest thing I could think of before I changed was just some fuel hose and a breather, zip tied up to the bed cross support.
