Are 1960 61 62 factory radio all the same
My 1960 Apache truck has the radio delete plate and I want to put a factory correct radio in dash. Don't care if it works-just for looks. Just wondering if the 1960 1961 1962 radio are the same so I know what to look for.

I have only had 2 and did not look closely at them... however the 60 looked to be tube, and the 63 solid state.... but that won't be an issue for looks.

1st 3 are chevy 1960-63...the last one is 64-66...just good reference for those guys looking for radios. Shows the difference in the truck/car radio

What's the piece on the side for? Mine matches the black & white photo also mines a '62 and has it. And noticed yours do not.

Jonz is right, 63 was the first year without tubes.
