Tailgate
What's the best way to put on and take off your tail gate. Is there a trick without removing the brackets.???

No trick. You have to remove one trunnion then slide off the other side. If you want you can replace the trunnion from later model and cut a slot to remove.

I don't know if it's the "best" way, but if you take off the bracket bolts from one side only, it will slide up until you can pull it straight out.
Definitely have a buddy there if you're concerned about scratching the paint. |
