80 Chevy Sport

Here is another sport that I got a few weeks ago. It is an 80 4x4 that is still in good original shape. Just wanted to share a few pics.

Re: 80 Chevy Sport

Nice find. too bad most of them were 80's. IMO the ugliest truck of the 73-87s...

Nice truck...appears to have original paint and stripes....you have the SPID and all the options look correct....the PH7 wheels are a real bonus.

I have a 2wd one in the same color combo......

Re: 80 Chevy Sport

Thanks guys. I like the 80 model trucks for some reason. It is a hate it or love it style though.

Nice looking charcoal and mystic silver fleetside you have Alex. Did that truck have rally wheels from the factory or did it have styled wheels? Do you have an 81 chevy sport?

Re: 80 Chevy Sport

My silver 80 is missing the SPID so I am not sure about the rallys being original...but the date codes are correct .
I currently have an original 76 Sport;a project 454/bucket seat sport;two 79 sports(1 restored 100% & 1 project 454/bucket seat);two 1980(1 restored red & 1 original silver);a 1981 project fleetside 4x4 sport.
I am looking for a 77 to fill the gap.....I actually had a new one back in 77 but traded it in on a new 78 Dually...we used to buy a new truck every year and just traded off the old one.

Jeff: Please note:Believe Only 77 on up if sold in through a US dealer. If your 75 was sold
at a Canada Dealer it will be OK. This the way I understand it. Larry

Re: 80 Chevy Sport

Yes you are correct on the 77 and newer. It must have been manufactured after 9/76 I think. My 77 sport is a very early serial number and they did not have the invoice on file for it, but at least I have the spid sticker in the glovebox.
