Sometimes it's nice to score for a change

I just got my 1986 Factory Service Manual in the mail yesterday. It's amazing how much info it has. The best part was that I scored it for $1 on eBay-- $6.50 with shipping. The pages are perfect and not smudged up. It's an old dealership copy. The cover's a bit scratched, but the book isn't dogeared and smudged up or anything. It actually looks a lot better than the eBay photo shows it to be.

Sometimes it's just nice to score a good deal for a change...

I got a 73-80 assembly manual a while back...it is in a 3 ring binder, about 2000 pages thick, 10 pounds, and it set me back $20 total. It has EVERY part number, pic, blow up for all 73-80 light duty trucks. One of my fav items!

That's about $74 less than I paid for my set at www.helminc.com. I did get two more books than you did, though, so they only cost me $37 each.

Goota love the shop manuals. I got mine for $5.00 because the guy messed up the title Luckily I happen to stumble across it and snagged it.

Bob:

You need to do what they do to you and get a snipping program. Its free. Go to www.Hammersnipe.com and sign up. It will place your bid 10 sec. before end of auction. Note: You got to put the most $$'s you are willing to pay, otherwise you still can get outbidded if its too low.

Actually, there was no mention of GMC or GM in the title of this auction. It was only viewed 6 times and I think 4 of them were mine! :p Sometimes you just have to spend a little more time browsing the obscure titles, I guess...
