It was 80's today when I was putzing around with the truck.Looks like it's cool enough you can work hard without getting too hot.

Re: Ol' Green was shiverin' this morning
He's a little closer to 6k feet. I'm at 5k feet and no snow here, though I'm a few hundred miles south. But it is COLD. 46 right now, low is supposed to be 36 tonight here with tons of wind. I wanted to work on my truck tomorrow too.

Re: Ol' Green was shiverin' this morning
We'll split the difference. I'm at about 5500', maybe 5600. It was a weird deal. Just a few miles north there was no snow. I-80 up Echo canyon seemed to be the boundary, but that's higher country than we are here. I saw quite a few trees that had lost big branches and a few that fell right over. With all the leaves still on and catching that much wet snow, it brings them down. It's all mostly melted now, though.
I leave for vacation in Mississippi tomorrow. I should have left yesterday.

Re: Ol' Green was shiverin' this morning
Yeh, 90 degrees here yesterday, record high for this time of year. Makes digging and laying rebar miserable with the humidity. But hey, its better than 8 inches of snow.

Re: Ol' Green was shiverin' this morning
You got that right Jim. Wildfires out west, snow in the upper midwest and 30s, tornados in Nebraska, 90s with hurricanes in the gulf all at the same time.
I'm sitting here watching the weather channel and wondering what this years' winter will hold for us.
