Front crossmember swap question using c20?
Getting conflicting answers using search so I'll just ask
I have a 69 c10 with stock crossmember and 80s heavy half suspension I want to build a raised front crossmember, and am wondering if a 73-87 c20 crossmember is usable. Some people saying width is deferent or that lower arms mount differently where others say just some holes Wanting to use only the crossmember and my current arms |

Re: Front crossmember swap question using c20?
The C20 crossmember on my '66 is different than the way the lower arms attach on my '75 C10 crossmember. The 3/4 ton uses a different mount than the 1/2 ton on the lower arms. It's my understanding the upper arms are the same.
Someone smarter than me might have more info.
