vacuum pump brake booster help
So I think the 383 stroker is not making enough vacuum to stop my blazer on 37s with a 14bolt sf in the rear and 10 bolt in the front. New booster, new master, wilwood adjustable prop valve. At idle she barely stops so I had thought a out putting a canister and vacuum pump on to see if she stops. First question is did I just miss something and please let me know if you need any info. I will answer what I can. Second question can I use one of 80s style air pump that runs off the belt as a.vacuum pump. Thanks guys

Re: vacuum pump brake booster help
Hey 72 BLAZER MUD BOGGER, not much help, BUT wanted to say HI.
Vienna, VA is a fav spot of mine. I have a Uncle that lives on Marshall, off the Nutley exit and I have closed down the V.I (Vienna Inn) many, many, MANY TIMES! Love that place! I grew up in Chantilly, VA, till i was about 9, all my family is back East! Wish I lived there now (except I can keep my top of from May till Nov!!!!!!). Either way, hope you figure your problem out! Nick

Re: vacuum pump brake booster help
It's certainly possible, but I read your post three times and I still don't see the biggest piece of information.
What kind of vacuum pressures are you reading at idle right now?

Re: vacuum pump brake booster help
Why not consider dumping vacuum system and step up to Hydroboost set up. You get real braking force and don't have to worry about "enough vacuum". Good luck.
