2 speed Rear? A joke or are they for real?
For a good couple of years I have been hearing from guys that they had a 2 speed rear available for one tons back in the 60's/70's...................Is this pure B/S or did they actually make them?
Maybe I just want a "Red Button" in my one ton on the shifter like its big IH buddy in corn crib

they are real and do exist some dodge cars even had them. i know the ones in the dodges were made by eaton that how they were going 200mph at daytona in the late 50's and early 60's. the low gear was like a 5.20 ratio and the high gear was like a 3.23 or so dont know for sure but i would love to find one myself

i wonder what gearing the dodge rears had because a 2 speed rear would go good on my 76 dodge. my dad has one in his 51 chevy 3/4 ton milk truck but it is wat to big for my gmc

200 MPH at daytona in the late 50's i don't think so !!! considering the fact DIS didn't open till feb59 they never hit 200 till the 70's with the hemis

413 tunnel ram big block...most had automatics...fast ass cars. back to the original ?, I don't believe that they ever came in 67-72 light trucks, I can say with certainty I have never seen one and have never heard of one. That doesn't mean that they didn't make a small handful, though.
