4l60e to np241 4 Lo question
Ok guys I'm swapping a 99 5.3 4L60e In to my 91 k5. I'm going to run my same np241 transfer case. I was just wondering if my trans and engine are gonna freak out when I put the transfer case in low range and it changes the vehicle speed but won't change the gear or rpm. Won't my trans think it's slipping.
I know new transfer cases have a speed sensor on the front drive shaft as well and a sensor letting it know it's in 4 lo So what do you guys think |

The ECM needs input from the transfer case so to know when you've engaged 4WD-LO

Re: 4l60e to np241 4 Lo question
Ahh ok, do you know if it's just a simple ground switch or is it like a speed sensor. If it's just a ground switch couldn't I just run it to like a brake witch setup on my shifter housing.
