Motor mount replacement

I need to replace at least the drivers side motor mount. I would love to pull the engine and take care of some seals, but this is my driver, so I don't have time.

Anyway, any tips the motor mount issue would be great. I always find that someone here will know something that I didn't think of to make a job a lot easier.

Thanks.

most recently i did my 1986 and i did the mounts one at a time with a floor jack and a 4X4" on the saddle i did one at a time and i took my time and it all worked out oki believe i had to use ratcheting box wrenches on the bolts that hold the mount to the frame

I've got my jack, and a 2x4, but don't see the "sweet spot" I need to raise the motor. Where is it- surely not the oil pan, right?

we just did the motor mounts on my truck recently. that was the most fun ive had in a long time
i found the easiest way to get both the bolts through the stands was to unbolt the stands, put them over the bolt and bolt them back down again... just a tip

You can lift by the oil pan if you use a board. You are distributing the force over a larger spot, so it won't dent it. Be careful and don't go too far. Just lift it high enough to get the mounts off and the new ones on.
