An idea of what a 82 2wd is worth?
Well I'm hoping to join the blazer club soon but I have no idea what I should pay for this 1982 2wd k5. Brand new Edelbrock 1406 carb, polished Edelbrock manifold, new ceramic Flowtech headers. brand new Whites Performance kit ($495.00) with new alternator, water, steering and fuel pumps. true duel exhaust 18" wheels. the interior is striped out so I can see the floor and the owner let me put it up on a lift at work. the body looks good and rust free. basicly it needs the interior finished and odds and ends on the chassis like new bushings and ball joints. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: An idea of what a 82 2wd is worth?
That is a really good looking truck to me. I would imagine that engine runs pretty strong. If that's epoxy primer, it doesn't hide much.. so I say thats a solid body too. Drop, wheels, and exhaust all cost a decent amount of money.. so you would need to factor that in as well. Meaning, money you wont have to spend after you get it.
In my opinion, that Blazer would be worth more than $4000. But that's just my opinion. I don't know how many solid 2WDs are in your area. (there are zero here), so that would definitely impact the price. I say if he let you put it on a lift and go through it, then he doesn't have much to hide. And if you want it, buy it. You'll kick yourself if you dont. But as the saying goes: "it's worth what someone is willing to pay" I would go after it |

well thanks for the input. I couldn't resist and the owner made me a smoking deal since he was moving I couldn't resist. My plans with it are to finish the interior as soon as I can and a nice stereo button up the odds and ends and eventually swap the 5.3l I have sitting in my garage.

Where I live could get an easy 5-6 for it, looks nice and if going 5.3 you can sell the other engine to recoupe some cash.

yeah selling it is an idea but I think I will put it in my 54 pickup I also have but I supose I could still get a little out of the 283 thats in there now. the 5.3 was actualy for it but she still has a long way to go. and I think the blazer will make a awesome dd especially if it got good mpg
