Re: LS motor in a 64-66? Anybody? no really!
I used manifolds from a '99 Camaro LS-1. I cut off the big header pipe flanges and welded on smaller ones. These manifolds are stamped steel instead of cast iron.

Hey TomLamb,
Evidently the SSR and Trailblazer SS manifolds hug the block closer and will fit without frame modification. I have also heard that the full size truck manifolds will hit the frame like yours did. TR

Good to know, if I end up having a problem with the Silverado ones, I'll go hunting for a set as the cuts have been already made...

I'm getting ready to swap a ls 6.0 & nv4500 into a 4x4. Anybody been down this road before? Been searching the threads & have only seen LS stuff going into 64-66 slammed trucks.

does not matter slammed or lifted truck. you have plenty of options for adapters. my personal pref is Dirty Dingo adapters since you can slide engine forwards or backwards 1 inch. chevy duty offers a set, classic performance, lmc, plenty others... main thing is what is least expensive to meet your needs? teake a look at all the available adapters and go from there and see what makes ya happy
