Anyone else have front door speaker issues?
Just noticed the other day that my front door speakers, on my 2008 GMC CC, had stopped working. Only reason I noticed that they had stopped working was because the passenger side door speaker came on. Made me jump a bit since it was a lot louder.
I don't normally have my radio turned up loud much. So, I am not sure when they stopped. But I do know I haven't heard the turn signals or door chime for a long time now (sound comes out of drivers door speaker). Anyone else having or have had this issue? I have done some research on other GM forums, and many others have had this problem. They replaced the door speakers, issue solved. Next on my to do list. Didn't bother me when I didn't realize they wasn't working, but now it annoys me.

Yeah the suck. Even with the premium sound they are crappy paper speakers.
I just replaced mine with kenwood component speakers. Sounds better and they work again

Re: Anyone else have front door speaker issues?
Yeah, I just ordered a set of Infinity Kappa 62.11i's from Crutchfield. Since, the OEM Bose speakers are 2 ohm's, these were about my only option for quality and a decent price range. Front doors getting the treatment this go around, next month rear doors.
I am surprised GM put such crappy speakers with the premium radio package.

Total crap
I wanted jlaudio but I could not get them at wholesale in a timely manner. So I went with the ken wood aluminum ones. They sound way better than factory.

Re: Anyone else have front door speaker issues?
My stock ones sounded great when they all worked. And the Bose system GM puts in sounds better over any of the other non-Bose equipped GM vehicles I have owned. But with my experience, if you replace them with quality speakers that work with your equipment, they should sound better.

Re: Anyone else have front door speaker issues?
I put my Infinity Kappa's in a few days back. Pretty easy install, it took me less than an hour to do both doors. Got my chime and signal sounds back, and they sound great. Rear doors be getting a set here soon too.
