MODERNIZED Turn Signal Lights

Check out how I modernized the turn signal lights on my 66. Notice they're all clear??? They fit perfect and look alot better than the stock unit. What do you guys think?

Re: MODERNIZED Turn Signal Lights

Ok, I have never told anyone this before!! I took stock lower fog lights off of a 1999-2002 chevy truck and they fit right in our trucks. You just have to make a bracket (I did mine with scrap sheet metal) to hold them in. They slide in perfectly into the stock slots though!! You have to make the light bulb entrance just a hair bigger with a file.

Re: MODERNIZED Turn Signal Lights

lilaroc13,
You can buy the "clear" lens for our trucks. But these turn signal lights that I have on my truck are "clear diamond" (like the new trucks). About my grill, I cut out the original fencing on the stock grill and bought a billet grill for a 80's chevy truck. I cut the billet grill to fit the stock 66 grill. It has the perfect contour! I also hid some blue fog lights behind the grill.

Looks neat. You could get a set of chrome-amber bulbs for that, and then it'd be even more clear when you aren't using the signals.

No BS I had the same idea planned for my 61. I had a 2001 Tahoe and even did a test fit. Nice job!

Just a few more tweaks, and your truck will be completely modernized.

Re: MODERNIZED Turn Signal Lights

Jchav62,
Read the thread, I explained how I did it. Also, check out the front bumper, I cut some holes to put in some fog lights. But I am having trouble posting them. How do you attach pics in here? I took pics but it keeps failing to load. The size might be too big. ???

I took a chance cutting the original grill insert, but I think the billet looks cool!
