Custom tank from Boyd's tanks
I am new here and really enjoy the forum. Bought a set of six lug rallys from Scott in Toms River NJ, great guy and thanks.
I have a question for my 65 build. Has any one here bought a custom gas tank from Boyd's Tanks that has a filler neck that would go behind the rear license plate like the way a 1969 Camaro tank would fill????? Please advise. Thanks, Greg |

Re: Custom tank from Boyd's tanks
Let me change my question.
Has anyone purchased a new gas tank that has the filler cap and neck to fit and fill behind the rear license plate like it would fill in a 1969 Camaro without major alterations???? I do not want to fill in the middle of the bed or from the side if I can avoid it. Does not have to be from Boyds tanks. Please reply. Thanks. |

Re: Custom tank from Boyd's tanks
Thanks for the welcome Clyde65.
I spoke to Boyds and they told me they have made these tanks before in the past (rear fill under the license plate for a 65 c10, but needed the name of the person/build to pull the name and specifications in order to fabricate another one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Greg |
