Man I love the info over on that site but they sure don't like truck swaps are I'm just looking in the wrong places. I know it's a car site but dang, unless your one of us 67-72chevytrucks guys they want even reply to your posts.
I like all kinds of vehicles and there are some very nice projects on there but if you reply to anything and you don't have a Camaro, mustang, Corvette, Gto, Chevelle they will ignore you. I'm glad our groups arn't like that.

There's just alot of interesting builds going on over there. Did you see the LS1 Prius? Nothing against your swap, but truck swaps are pretty vanilla anymore.
I will say, watch you a** buying and selling on tech, or just plain avoid it. Lots of dirtballs in the classifieds.

I haven't had any bad vibes are any problems guy, just can't seem to get people to answer my PM's about stuff. I asked about headers and such to several members over there and only 1 replyed. I have asked several members about the Camaro engine cover mods and nothing yet and that been 3-4 months. I have read a bunch of the projects over there about the Camaro stuff but nothing on the cover. I have searched and searched nothing. All I'm saying is we appricate each other more over here.
I want buy nothing off the classified unless it's just a have to. That's why I ask questions I can usally find whatever it is locally and for a better price.

I tjink LEEVON hit the nail on the head, there are a lot of builds on there and a truck swap just isn't as exciting as it once was. I've been at this a LONG time, and remember when people would loose they're minds when I opened the hood on my Nova to show an LS1 in it, but nowdays its just the norm.
If you're asking questions, some times you have to bump the thread back to the top to keep it from getting lost several pages back. A lot of people only look at the first page and the person that has the answer may not have been on in a week or so. But if you're trying to put a Gen5 Camaro cover (the only camaro cover) on your LQ4, then it most likely won't fit. The truck intake is way too tall for it to look good.

Yes this is what I have found out after buying it because a member here said with minor mods it would work. Live and learn. I guess I'll try my hand at fiberglassing something maybe.

I haven't had any issues on there either although ppl do take forever to reply to threads sometimes...as for buying stuff I just bought some f body manifolds from a guy on there and didn't have any problems at all...paid 40 bucks for em..got em 3 days after I bought em and they're in decent shape

They are just jaded like everyone else said due to the sheer volume. If you start to include aspects like Forced Induction or a massively unique engine/drivetrain setup (of say things like 700hp in the title), it will go mostly un noticed.
You can try the same thing on Yellow Bullet, and the response will be even more critical...again unless something is unique or high hp. I'm ok with this, since it sorta becomes darwinian. We have places like here where all things are cool, and appreciated...but places like LS1tech thrive off of volume of information, which is paired down somewhat, by lack of attention to less "intense" projects. Keep in mind too, the individual tech sections there are different, as any good tech info will be accepted...but again, non invention engine combos etc just don't attract attention.

I have bought parts there never had a problem but I always check the I Trader ratings first, and yes this is a lots better site to gather info.

Classifieds aren't too bad, just check their I trader rating and make sure to use PayPal, for big ticket stuff I make sure to keep all pms exchanged. I've sold roughly $5k in stuff there with no issues. I've had one bad experience but paypal cleared it up, also you can google their user name and find other feedback from forums.

I think you run into this problem on any forum. The swaps section over there is very small compared to the forum as a whole so swaps may get less from people not building swaps of their own. They'll be in the forums of their interest. Even on this forum it happens to some degree. Over in the 47-59 section I posted a thread about leaf springs and got next to no responses. Then some newbie comes and asks about bags and air ride. Boom he has 5 pages of replies. Our section is really busy so guys (including myself) skip the threads of less interest to us. There is always some bias. Look at truck of the month on here. Always there are a lot of great trucks but almost every time its a 67-72 that wins because there are more guys interested in those trucks on here.

I tried all the most common names plus a few choice ones. I tried at the house today and here at work neither will let me on.
Well I tried it again and it took it this time with chevrolet. I don't know maybe I can get LS!tech to take at the house in the morning. I still haven't been able to get on at home.

You can click the thing at the top of LS1tech that says PERFORMANCETRUCKS.NET
Same thing, but with TRUCKS. If you never noticed it before, don't feel bad. All the same login info works on there that you use for Ls1tech.
