Some hard to find items I have found in the last couple weeks

As many of you know I have a parts business and spend a lot of time scouring the Southwest/West Coast looking for good items. Interestingly enough all of these items came from right here in Phoenix in the last couple of weeks. The 73-74 GMC tailgate band has some rubbing/scratches but I have an early tailgate that already has the holes so this will be perfect for it. The flip down dome lamp is one of the nicest I have seen. One of the Silverado emblems is NOS. The door panel speaker grills aren't in perfect shape but it is the first set I have seen in a long time. Hope you enjoy! I am really happy about finding the stuff. Guess if you look hard enough it is still around.

Re: Some hard to find items I have found in the last couple weeks

I was just there two weeks ago and bought a 78 crew cab c20 and I must say I'm quite impressed with the condition of most of the parts out here. Me coming from south Florida where everything has some sort of rust issue I'm going to take full advantage of my next 8 months in Nevada to find parts

I hear Nevada has a lot of good stuff as well! One of these days I will head that way. I also plan to head east for something different when the weather gets nicer!

Very cool! I always like to see the treasures you find. I scored an absolute mint GMC narrow tailgate band the other day for $5. Been looking for one for years. I had to restrain myself from doing a happy dance walking to my K5.

I don't know if they sell for much or not. I just know I don't find them around here often

Thanks! It is more fun for me to find the stuff than sell it! Guess it doesn't hurt that I now own 3 GMCs. Very nice score on the tailgate band! I have only ever found 2 of the narrow GMC ones and one of then was relatively beat.

Re: Some hard to find items I have found in the last couple weeks

I love finding the things I've never seen before and have to do a quick internet search while I'm still in the salvage yard haha! Great score on that narrow band!!!
