In the US that stuff is called AAC (autoclaved aerated concrete). To us northeners, it is unobtanium. You can work it with wood working tools and it is a lot lighter than regular concrete. It has insulating properties too. When I lived in Germany I helped a sister in law renovate the bathroom in a french farmhouse using this stuff. We carved the block to make the base for a new bathtub and put in lots of insulation. Have to say that it was a total transformation.
