Diablew tune
This guy has people with a Diablo Tuner send him the log from their truck. Then he does a custom tune to your spec`s. I guess he can take a nnbs truck from mild to wild. Check out his site and some of the testmonials.

Re: Diablew tune
I prefer a Nelson Performance tuned computer. The only issue with that is, if your truck has the 6 speed auto they can not do a mail out tune. But if you got the 4L series, you are good to go. Black Bear Performance is another good one. IMO these guys are better than the hand held tuners. They are also cheaper, and retunes are free. It's like owning a new truck after install.

Re: Diablew tune
Do these tunes keep the stock program? I see that this tune holds the stock tune in case dealer work is needed.

Re: Diablew tune
No, it gets a new tune and they lock it so that the tuners trade secrets don't get out. But you have the option of keeping your stock computer. From my understanding, most of the time the dealer doesn't know that it had been tuned. Unless the dealer does a reflash, there should be no worries.

Re: Diablew tune
Would it not be better to reinstall the stock tune? A trip to the dealer and a reflash would at best wipe out your tune , and at worst cause warrenty issues.

Re: Diablew tune
Most of what you end up at the dealer for isn't going to have anything to do with the computer other than diagnostics. Even then, they probably won't know that it has been tuned. The only thing I could say that would make them know, is if you had the Fuel Management System shut off. That would definitely void the warrantee. Also, I am not sure that the dealer would be able to flash the computer since it is locked. That would be something to ask the tuner.
For me, I have no warrantee left on my truck, it is over a 100k now. Even if it was, I would get it tuned anyway. The fact is, GM and all other manufacturers, run all engines way too rich. So, you will be burning off fuel for no reason. Plus, I want the beast unleashed.

Re: Diablew tune
I would like the Stabilitrak removed. Much foul language from this. I'd also like to see this 6-speed act right. Westers in Canada is supposed to have a good service as well. Im waiting to go see Frank's guy in Topeka.

aknovaman@gmail.com I have no complaints on his work. My 5.3 runs really well and I still put down 21 to 21.5 MPG going to Atlanta, Georgia last fall. Just so everyone knows, I don't drive slow either. This is an early picture before the wheels were changed out and the exhaust was changed over. He works at Forbes Field during the week and does his stuff after hours and on the weekends.

Re: Diablew tune
Not sure about getting the Stabilitrak removed, but if you take it into a tuner they should be able to hook you up on better shifts. It's a bit of a drive to go to Nelson Preformance. Though you should have no problems finding a place there in the KC Metro area, tons of great shops there.

Re: Diablew tune
I'd love to go to Nelson, I follow 'em on YT and FB. Bad Nasty stuff from them! Just been a long cold winter, and other things have taken precedence. Hopefully back in the saddle soon.
