That looks about right.
The castle nut should thread on and line up with the hole in the balljoint.
It will look different with the rubber boot on.

What does the UPPER balljoint say?
73-87?

71-72 and 73-87 use the same lower balljoint.
But they use a different upper balljoint.

There is more PROFIT using the cheaper 73-87 balljoints.

when I called them last week and told them I had the wrong numbers on them,they told me the numbers didn't mean anything because they are all the same just drill different, B.S. they will get no more money from me. Mine are CP4S4 which says 73-87 on their web site

Because they sell the correct spindle for your truck,... for the same price.

sorry I forgot to tell youI have 71-72 suspension on my 69........ I guess I will just try and install and see what happen the upper are for 71-72 ..... I'm confused by all this BS . the moogs didn't seem to fit ay all ,they had big gaps at the top and bottom and wouldn't even set on the dust covers. Thanks for you help man,

The upper is definitely a 71-72 only balljoint.
If they fit,... it's a 71-72 drop spindle.

Your Moog balljoints must have been 63-70 uppers.
They are smaller in diameter.
Balljoints have to match the spindle you are using.

the pic shows the new upper and the moog upper......... I'm not sure . it sure looked wrong as rain when I installed it. I will reinstall tomorrow and post pics, thanks again for your help
