New Guy from NE Ark.
I a new member. In 62 and learned to drive in a 64 chev Pk my dad bought new. Ive been collecting & hoarding trucks for several decades. at present I have over a 100 chev & GMC trucks from 47 thru 88. I tend to prefer the GMC to the chev. The mid 60,sGMc,s have rear leaf springs and I like the speedometer dash much better. Last week my 71 chev 3/4 with a big block broke a valve spring. the valve keepers came out and it swallowed a valve, anti freeze came out the exhaust. One dead locked up 402 Ive got a 454 to put in there that 402 didn't use enough gas anyhow. Now Im thinking just transfer the insurance to a 66 GMC I bought reciently. So today I go to the revenue office to lisence the 66 truck. More bad luck. I present a clear Missouri title. The type on the compueter. Now they tell me someone in Nebraska has a truck with the same exact VIn? Heck I just go around back and pick something else to drive. The GMC with the questionable title is pretty good 250 six factory granny 4 speed 1/2 ton long bed. I spent all day yesterday putting a crome grill bumper and front cap on it. I even put a good seat in it. any way Im trying to thin the herd down to about a dozen. I sold a 65 chev last month. and was planning on just fixing and driving one at a time and selling it until I reach my goal. This forum Is just what I need.
