What is the widest 15 inch wheel that will fit on the rear of a stock 61 half ton that is lowered 3 inches and with what backspace? Thanks

Re: Widest Wheel Width

I don't know, but stepside and fleetside will be different. Is your truck a stepside or a fleet?

Re: Widest Wheel Width

I would say 8" on a stepside with a stock diff. And 10" on a fleetside with a stock diff 4" backspace on both.

It really depends on the backspacing of the wheel. To understand the different terms used in describing a wheel, go to this website and study it carefully and play with the numbers. Backspacing is very important when choosing a wheel, especially for the front wheels.
