The GMC looks to be the better one of the pair. I see a lot of hours of repairing damage on the Chevy before a guy ever started doing anything he wanted to on it.
My guess is that a guy might be able to wait them out a few weeks, make a cash in hand offer and clean the Chevy up including a good scrubbing with CLR and put it up for sale and build the GMC.
